Most people get to know about Affiliate (Internet) Marketing  through some talks and claims heard about “How Easy, Money can be made Online”. The “Get Rich Quick” Videos, promoted by so called Internet Marketing Gurus, usually follow the following format:-

A person (usually a man)  would tell the viewers his story of being poor at the beginning and strike rich, after discovered a Secret of Making tons of money online. He had screen shots of affiliate bank account to show that he was making hundreds or even thousands of dollars every day after he applied this secret technique. He would then claim that anyone using the same technique would achieve similar result. The product, using a softwares could  be  purchased and downloaded at a cost price  that ranges from $27/- to $47/-.

Nearly all people who bought these products found them to be ineffective and did not achieve the result claimed. The easy making money concept still stick in their mind even though they are wiser after being in these episodes.

 

The biggest mistake most new affiliate marketer did was to focus on the money making side of business. i.e finding a niche product to promote and sell. The critical steps of identifying & attracting potential customers & building the namelist and addressing the competition impact are usually not in their radar.  The end result, they made little or no money after investing time, effort and money on affiliating marketing business.
